It is our responsibility to safeguard the health and well-being of our members, staff and families, and the broader community. Our Free Community Shred Day, currently scheduled for April 25, will be postponed as well.

Our commitment to serve you and your family is unwavering, and we will continue to be here throughout this trying time.

Essential credit union functions, such as credit/debit card transactions, direct deposits, scheduled payments and transfers, etc. will continue as normal. Access to your accounts via online/mobile banking, ATMs and drive-ups will be the safest channels for the time being.

We are deeply grateful for your membership and support of our credit union. Thank you for being part of our WSCU community. We can’t do this without you!

3.18.2020 – WSCU will operate by drive up only and lobby by appointment.

As a precautionary measure to help prevent the spread of COVID-19, Weber State Credit Union has decided to serve members primarily through our drive up windows until April 1st. This time frame may be extended, depending upon the progression of the virus spread.

For those members needing access to lobbies for things such as safe deposit box access or speaking with a loan officer in person, you may request an appointment by calling the Help Desk at 801-399-9728. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we navigate this unprecedented situation.

At this time, we recognize that many members are worried about finances along with their health concerns. We want to assure you that your money is safe at WSCU. We will continue operations with these adjustments to lobby access. All other essential credit union functions, such as online/mobile banking, credit/debit cards, direct deposits and scheduled transfers/payments will continue as normal. You will continue to have full access to your finances and we will continue to serve you and your family at the highest level possible.

While we are here to serve our members, we ask that you do not visit a branch if you are feeling ill. We are following all the guidelines to keep our branches clean. Our branches are stocked up on hand soap and hand sanitizer. We are using bleach- or alcohol-based wipes on surfaces frequently touched. Staff are washing their hands frequently and using gloves when handling cash.

3.12.2020 –
We want to reassure you and the community that Weber State Credit Union is doing its part as COVID-19 cases continue.

We are closely monitoring Center for Disease Control (CDC), state, and local health departments for the latest developments and recommendations. We are tracking the virus and using this information in ongoing discussions to best protect you and ensure you will have continued access to your finances. With any new developments, as more information is made available, plans may change. We pledge to keep you in the loop, listen to your concerns, and share what we plan on doing.

Moving forward, we will be taking appropriate action based on guidelines provided by the CDC. Our branches are stocked up on hand soap and when needed, hand sanitizer. We will use bleach- or alcohol-based wipes on surfaces frequently touched. Staff will wash their hands frequently. We have a task force dedicated to business continuity to make sure you have access to your finances. Lastly, we are reaching out to our critical service providers to ensure services will be available to members.

As we take these actions, you play a role as well during this time. Based on guidelines given by the CDC, wash your hands thoroughly and often, avoid close contact with sick people, cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, don’t touch your face, and stay home if you’re feeling sick. Just as important as these steps, we caution against panicking. In addition to dampening your immune system, too much stress can interfere with our abilities to practice good sense. Be careful by being informed and prepared. Online banking, our Help Desk, and our drive through lanes are available options to all members.

We are optimistic that we as a community will successfully ride this out. We are still learning about COVID-19 and as more health professionals learn more, they will provide us with better advice and care. We will continue to evaluate new steps to make this less disruptive and will be compassionate to those who are affected.
